My Story

There are times in all of our lives when things can feel overwhelming, confusing or lonely. Past or current challenges can affect how we see ourselves, our relationships and the world around us, making it difficult to feel present or see a way forward.

I have been on my own journey of self-discovery and have explored my past, including some of the issues and inner conflicts that have shaped me. I believe that being open to our own self-exploration is an ongoing process. I'm always learning, reflecting and developing a deeper understanding of myself and my inner world.

As a qualified counsellor, I have the training and experience to support you as you explore your own thoughts, feelings and experiences. I don't believe that I have all the answers, or that my role is to tell you what to do. Instead, I will work alongside you, helping you to make sense of what you're experiencing and find a way forward that feels right for you.

My experience includes supporting people with a diverse range of issues, from anxiety and relationship difficulties to more complex and traumatic experiences. Alongside my counselling training and experience, I also have a background in holistic therapy and life coaching.

My counselling approach is integrative, drawing on different therapeutic approaches including Client-Centred and Psychodynamic Therapy. This allows me to adapt the way we work together to your individual needs, rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

While I primarily work with adults, I also have experience working therapeutically with young people. My main focus is supporting adults through the challenges they are facing, while recognising that young people can also benefit from having a safe and supportive space to talk.

I believe the relationship between counsellor and client is really important. For me, counselling is about creating a space where you can feel comfortable being yourself, without judgement or the need to have all the answers. I bring warmth, curiosity and openness to my work, while respecting that you are the person who knows your own life best.

I have an enhanced DBS certificate and am fully insured. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and an accredited registrant of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS).

I believe counselling can offer an opportunity to pause, reflect and understand yourself more deeply. Sometimes we know something isn't quite right but aren't sure why, while at other times we may be struggling with something that feels too difficult to manage alone.

Whatever has brought you here, you don't need to have everything figured out before reaching out.

If you'd like to talk about whether counselling might be helpful for you, I offer a free 20 minute consultation.
